Memorial Day is our nation’s day to remember those who have died in active military service,  but every year it seems to just be a day for people to take a day off school, eat barbecue, and go to the pool.

Instead of spending this Memorial Day slugging out in your American flagged themed swimsuit, take some time to pay respects to those who fought, and continue to fight, for your freedom.

Easy ways to show respect would be hanging the American Flag outside your home or business, posting pictures on social media, and thanking any veterans you see for their service.

To get more involved, you could send a care package to soldiers, collect donations to send to veterans and serving soldiers, volunteer for one of the many veteran homes across texas, or spend time with a veteran you know.
However you choose to spend Memorial Day, remember the courageous men and women who died bravely serving our country.
