“As a team we’ve done really well. We won the Aggieland meet, and that’s a really big meet because teams from all over Texas came and most of our team qualified to compete at TISCA (Texas Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association). In the next meet, I hope Westwood can win and a bunch of swimmers qualify for state.

There’s a lot of energy at swim meets. Westwood is definitely the loudest team. We’re never just sitting down and waiting, we’re all standing up and cheering for the rest of the team. Everyone’s pretty crazy. It feels good to be a part of the team. It feels more like a family.”

About the Writer
Lizzie Deal, Managing Editor
When I'm not writing articles, I am usually found playing soccer, listening to music, and watching my favorite movies over and over. I absolutely love to write, and hope to be a young adult author someday. I also have a slight obsession with books, and cannot go a day without reading something, no matter how small.
