The JV Orange volleyball team defeated the Hutto Hippos 2-0 in their fifth district game on Friday, Sept. 22. In both sets, the Warriors were able to gain an early lead and hold onto it until the end of the set, finishing the sets 25-15 and 25-14.

“I thought [the game] was pretty good,”  Delaney Willing ‘21 said. “We played as a team, didn’t make as much mistakes as we would have in others.”

While other players also cited communication as a key factor in their victory, other players thought the team’s morale allowed them to pull through with their decisive victory.

“I think it was kind of our energy,” Ingrid Stading ‘19 said. “We didn’t let anything get us down at all.”

The JV Orange volleyball team won’t have any games next week due to their bye week, though they will have a Student Night on Tuesday, Sept. 26, as well as a Dig*Fight*CURE Night on Friday, Sept. 29. Both events will start at 5:30 p.m. on their respective days.
