The 1975 Coming to Austin

The+1975+Coming+to+Austin

As Nov. quickly approaches, the teens of Austin are becoming more and more excited. Not for Thanksgiving, but for the concert they have been waiting for since tickets went on sale Friday, June 6th: The 1975 concert at Austin Music Hall.

The 1975 is an indie rock band based in Manchester, England. Although they started releasing music in 2012, they gained mainstream success with the single “Chocolate” which aired on radios internationally. Now, many people follow the band, including many of Austin’s alternative loving teens.

People can buy tickets at the Austin Music Hall website for the price of $30 for Floor General admission and Balcony General admission plus a $7.85 fee, and for admission to the VIP Tower Club, the price is increased to $100 plus a $11.55 fee. Most teens agree that these were fair prices, and others who have seen The 1975 before state that the price is worth it.

“They were edgy, raunchy, loud, and extreme,” one girl posted onto the band’s tour date page. “The 1975 is one band you should definitely catch live.”

The concert will take place on Nov. 25 and the doors open at 7:00 p.m. All ages are allowed and the two opening acts are CRUISR and Young Rising Sons, both similar to The 1975’s style of music.
