On Tuesday, April 7, the Lady Warrior varsity soccer team took on the Hendrickson Hawks in the third round of playoffs.
It was a tough game and for 90 minutes of intense play the Warriors held their own and kept it nil to nil.
At the final buzzer, exhausted and spent, the warriors prepared for another 30 minute quarter to finish the game. It wasn’t long before the Lady Hawks scored their first goal and not long after they scored the second and final goal of the game.
“It was an emotional rollercoaster. It was one of the best experiences of my life as well as one of the worst,” Alyssa Hardan ‘16 said. “Not only do I know what I need to work on, I got to do this with my best friends. I was honestly thinking to myself don’t cry, because I’m usually one of the people who doesn’t show emotions, so me crying would just make it worse for my squad.”
Not only did the ladies hold a 24-3 record, one of the best in the region, Coach Malcolm Framjee was immensely proud.
“No matter what I’m proud of my team and only losing 3 games all season isn’t something we should be upset about at all,” Coach Framjee said.
