The JV girls’ soccer team had their first district game on Friday, Jan. 27 against the Hendrickson Hawks. After a slow start in the first half, Hendrickson scored in the final minutes.

Starting the second half Leah Zahm ‘20 scored early on. Ultimately the Hawks secured the lead in the last minutes of the second half, wrapping up the game 1-2.

“We were all pretty nervous before the game because the last time we played Hendrickson we lost in a tournament,” Christina Stephenson ‘18 said. “But once the game started we began to play well together as a team and we able to score in the second half. Hopefully next time we play them we will be able to win since it will be later and the season.”
