The Warrior Tennis Team had six players qualify for the State Tournament in College Station on May 17-18, and some players had big successes. Gaurav Singh ’20 placed third out of the entire tournament in boys’ singles, earning Singh a medal. Sofie Kardonik ’19 and Michelle Duan ’19 qualified for the tournament in girls’ doubles and advanced to the quarterfinals, but fell short in a full three set match to place eighth in the state. “I had a lot of fun at this incredible opportunity and I hope next year my partner and I can get to state again,” Kardonik said. Daniel Antov ’21,  Varun Somarouthu ’20, and Kiana Graham ’20 also qualified for the tournament. The State Tournament concluded the 2017-2018 tennis season, and the players will return in the fall.
