Librarians organized a movie tea party in the Great Room on Wednesday, Nov. 14. Students came in after school to enjoy a cup of tea and a few light snacks while watching Alice in Wonderland.

“I’m actually excited that so many people came out and I’m really pleased with the turnout,” librarian Ms. Lauren Kluck said. “Hopefully we will be able to do something similar regularly, maybe not every month but every other month, where students can just come in for fun.”

Snacks, including cupcakes, cookies, and oranges, as well as tea, was provided for students for free in one end of the Great Room. There were also tea cups and plates that gave the event a great feel and brought students into the world of Alice in Wonderland.

“I thought the movie night was a really fun event,” Srinithi Ranganathan ‘21 said. “I haven’t seen Alice in Wonderland in a while so it was nice to catch up. The snacks were really cool and I really enjoyed watching the movie with my friends. The plates and tea cups were a neat idea and everything came together really well.”

At the other end of the great room, activities were laid out for students to do if they chose to. The majority of the attendees sat and watched the screening of Alice in Wonderland. The movie ran from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., allowing students plenty of time to relax and watch the movie, but also go home and finish any homework.

“Overall, the movie night was an exciting experience,” Ishika Samant ‘21 said. “It was really cool to hang out with my friends, eat snacks and watch a great movie. I can’t wait to do something like this again in the future.”
