Surrounded by a plethora of streamers and lights, students were invited for a night under the sea on Saturday, Oct. 26 for the annual Homecoming Dance in the cafeteria. After an eventful week filled with annual Warrior traditions, selections from singers Lizzo, Migos, and throwbacks from ABBA made for an electric environment, where hundreds of students came to enjoy a night of dancing and socializing with friends.

“The decorations are really nice, and it’s been super fun so far. I love participating in dress up weeks and showing school spirit,” Aakanksha Mahajan ‘23 said.

Organized by the Pacesetters, a girls’ community service and charity organization, plenty of food, refreshments, and entertainment was provided. Students also had a chance to get pictures taken under a festive under the sea backdrop to take home.

“I’m having fun. Westwood’s all about school spirit [and] we’re all really dedicated,” Irina Raleigh ‘22 said. “It’s really fun coming out and letting loose.”

The hard work put in by the Pacesetters and the student body contributed to yet another successful homecoming for all to enjoy.
