Seniors, friends, and family crowded into the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park on Thursday, May 22 to attend their Graduation Ceremony, followed by an overnight party on campus called Project Grad.
Over 700 students received their high school diploma at this year’s graduation, leading to a strong sense of pride and worthwhile effort. Principal Erin Campbell, Senior Student Council Officers Tanvi Reddy ‘25 and Siyona Jain ‘25, Salutatorian Bailey Zhang ‘25, and Valedictorian Harry Liu ‘25 delivered speeches to the student body, showcasing their pride and encouragement for the outgoing senior class.
“It was surreal seeing all of my friends [from] all these years,” Liu said. “It’s our final time, and we’re all in caps and gowns.”
Following graduation, seniors hurried to Westwood, Project Grad’s location this year. Project Grad is a safe and exciting event where graduating students sleep over at the school for the night. Seniors enjoyed performances from groups such as the Diablo Club, formerly the Chinese Yo-yo Club, and played games together, creating their last memories together. Graduates will further their dreams during their respective journeys as the Class of 2025.
“I felt like graduation came a lot sooner than I expected, but it’s okay, because I feel like this isn’t really the final goodbye,” Grace Huh ‘25 said.
