Warrior Chant is New Symbol of Tribe Unity
New principal Mario Acosta, who wants to be known as Mr. Westwood, addresses the student body at the year’s first pep rally.
Principal Mario Acosta is brand new to Westwood, but he has already made his mark. When he first arrived, Mr. Acosta asked the Westwood Tribe what they do in unity to show school spirit, but they had no response. Later, when faced with speaking in front of a student crowd for the first time at Meet the Warrior, Mr. Acosta created the Warrior Chant on the fly in an attempt to inspire school pride.
“I don’t know what came over me,” Mr. Acosta said, “I just made it up on the spot and the students went crazy.”
