The weekend of Feb. 21 was very successful for the Art Program. At the Region 13 North Visual Arts Scholastic Event, nine students qualified for state. A total of 1,570 pieces of art were entered from 19 different school districts, and only 107 pieces were selected to advance to state. Submissions included sketches, paintings, and sculptures. Of these 107, nine were from the same art program. If you see Marie Park ‘15, Viviun Shiue ‘15, Anna Heggins ‘17, Annie Xue ‘15, Chase Westover ‘16, Anna Skelley ‘18, Chandana Ramamohan ‘17, Anne Feng ‘18, or Alexandra Siggs ‘15, congratulate them on their big accomplishment!

Shefali Arimilli, Managing Editor
Hey! My name is Shefali Arimilli and I am the Managing Editor of the Heritage. This is my third year on staff and fourth year in journalism (jerds are amazing!). I’ve been on varsity tennis for four years now, and love it. If I’m not studying or playing tennis, I’m hanging out with friends and family, listening to music, dancing, or eating. My favorite movies are Pitch Perfect and The Blind Side. I love traveling and hope to go to Australia and New Zealand this year!
