Aiming High, Marshall Sjariffudin ‘27 is suspended in mid air, while he makes a jump shot. The key to his success is to make sure he’s mentally and physically prepared. “I made sure to be really dialed in right after the final bell rang,” Sjariffudin said

"I was really proud of us because, [even though] we have won in previous years, the competition was harder this year so our victory was surprising in a nice way."

"I just swam my most fun event which was the 200 [yard] freestyle relay, we won that so I feel super proud and that was really cool."

Westwood woman’s lacrosse has their senior night and wins the game taking them to their state
Maintaining the ball, Sara Acosta '27 swiftly dodges the attack of her opponent. Acosta is a new player to the team and has maintained her position as an attacker throughout the entire season. "We played well in the whole game.. we fought really hard," Acosta said.
In a struggle for the ball, Truitt Forse '27 (Round Rock High School) prepares to steal the ball from a Vandegrift player behind him. Forse, an attacker, is the lone freshman on the varsity team.

SOCCER
Focusing in on the ball, midfielder Henley Patak '27 moves to gain back possession of the ball from Viper offense. The Vipers and their aggressive offense proved to be a challenge for the Warriors, preventing them from scoring more than one goal.
Crossing her leg over the ball, Mia Wiele '26 performs the scissors move. Throughout the game, she got around the Stony Point Tigers by faking them out with her moves.
Braden Wilson ‘24 expertly dribbles the ball around Mustang defenders to bring the ball closer to the goal. Wilson was a key player in the game, especially in the first half.
Griffin Goss '26 makes a pass across the field. Goss used good footwork and long passes to get around the Mavericks and the ball down the line.
BASEBALL & SOFTBALL
Watching John Ramsey '24 prepare for a pitch, Mike Davis '24 waits on deck for his turn to bat. Because there were two out, Davis left his catchers gear on as an out would have yielded a change of possession, and Davis would head back to the plate.
Varsity Baseball Captures Important Win on Senior Night
Waiting for the throw back Jacob Wright '25 extends his glove toward the pitchers mound. After a walk the runner planted himself on first base where Wright looked to complete a pick-off and get him off the bases.
During the first inning, the infielders gather around Coach Casey Carter for a mound visit. The infield struggled throughout the game, failing to catch the ball several times, which allowed Cedar Ridge to consistently advance bases.
TRACK
Taking off swiftly, the varsity boys cross country team leaves the starting line ready for the 3-mile trek ahead. The Boys had a successful first and second meet and looked to continue with a third.
Storming through the course, the Westwood cross country team competes in their first meet of the season at Vista Ridge. The Warriors looked to start off their season strong with a good performance all around.
Priya Gangadharan ‘23, Will Murray ‘23, and Preston Sanderville ‘23 celebrate their signing, looking ahead to their futures.
Priya Gangadharan ‘23 races in the 800 meter at the Round Rock Event. Gangadharan took first place at the regional meet on Friday, April 29.
