Steps to the Perfect Promposal
Prom is just around the corner, and now is the time to start finalizing your date and plans. If you’ve been procrastinating this too long, here are some simple steps to help you with your promposal! Get a move on and purchase your tickets for April 16th, so you don’t miss out on making a fond high school memory.
- Figure out who may still be looking for a date to prom. Close friends, acquaintances, or anyone you think it would be fun to spend the evening with. It is okay if you don’t know your date too well. As a junior or senior it is still fun to go to prom accompanied with someone.
- Make a list of their interests or hobbies. Promposals that involve something your date loves are always a success!
- Try to come up with ways to incorporate your list into your promposal. If they like a particular show, a popular idea is to mimic the actions of their favorite character and ask them that way. If they are passionate about a sport, you can incorporate a pun about their team name or position.
- Get your friends involved! Sometimes it’s difficult to plan a surprise by yourself. Take advantage of your peers and get their advice.
- Remember: extravagant promposals are not always better! It is the effort and heart you put into your idea that counts. Your date will appreciate any gesture you make!
