Class of 2016 Donates Mural Displayed in Atrium
Students today were surprised to see the assembling of a new mural in the atrium. The large painting of dandelions blowing apart in the wind was added above the archway in the atrium around 11:00 AM. Donated by the class of 2016, the mural matches the burnt orange of the archway and adds to the overall tone of Warrior pride in the atrium.
Surprisingly, however, much of the class of 2016 was clueless as to their own involvement in the donation. When asked how they felt about their donation most seniors responded with confusion. “We donated a mural?” said Prasad Ravichandran ’16, echoing thoughts of many others. How could the class of 2016 manage to donate something that they had no knowledge of?
The school is left wondering who, or what group, actually donated the dandelion mural? With most of the supposed benefactors having no knowledge of their class involvement, many people are confused with the purpose for the donation. It seems as though the mural wasn’t donated by the class of 2016, but rather a club or group of people, giving an assumed voice to the rest of their class.
