Nov. 3 UPDATE: The golf tournament has been cancelled due to lack of participation.

The softball team is gathering golf teams, sponsorships, and donated items for this year’s golf tournament commencing Monday, Nov. 7 at Twin Creeks Country Club.

“The purpose of the golf tournament is to raise funds so we can issue senior scholarships at the end of the year banquet and whatever is left over from the profit, we use for equipment,” Head Coach Tiffany Gates said. “It’s our 10th annual tournament. It’s very successful every year and it’s out at Twin Creeks.”

According to Mark Short, the tournament director, over $195,000 has been put into the softball program in the past nine years. Those interested in participating or sponsoring the event can get information from anyone in the softball program.
