‘Horizon’ Named CSPA Crown Finalist
The Horizon was recently selected as a Digital Crown Finalist by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA). A total of eighteen digital high school publications received the award for their work in the 2017-2018 academic year from a total of 1,100 eligible for judging. The publications will be presented in March 2019 at ceremonies in New York City.
The Crown Awards honor top student publications from across the nation chosen from CSPA’s members. Crowns are selected for overall excellence in a head-to-head comparison as shown by their design, photography, concept, coverage, and writing. Crown Finalist winners will be announced as either Gold Crowns or Silver Crowns at the CSPA ceremonies next spring.
This is the second year in a row The Horizon has received the Crown Finalist award. In March 2018, the publication earned its first Silver Crown at the CSPA Spring Scholastic Convention.
