On Wednesday, April 24, Ms. Lucy Sanchez welcomed students and teachers to the cafeteria for Partner and Volunteer Appreciation Night. The event was to thank the Ambassadors for the volunteer work they’ve done in the school. Mr. Brian McDonough started the night off by sharing some of the volunteer projects he had done, including traveling to Honduras to help children.

“It was a great event, we got to appreciate and recognize the student volunteers and the industry partners for all their efforts and hardwork that they’ve put in,” Muhammad Khan ‘21 said.

After a break for snacks, the top 23 of the 140 ambassadors each got a plaque for their hard work in the school. Next, five academy partners were awarded, these parents brought volunteering opportunities and change to the school. Hiten Patel won volunteer of the year and  Amanda Klein ‘19 was awarded youth volunteer of the year for four years of volunteering. Mr. Mario Acosta finished the night with a thank you to all the parents and students for their work.
