The National Weather Service says the Hill Country and Williamson County could see up to one inch of snow.

The National Weather Service says the Hill Country and Williamson County could see up to one inch of snow.

 

 

Due to inclement weather, all RRISD schools ARE CLOSED on Friday, January 24. All buses will run two hours late. Families are advised to monitor local TV stations and the RRISD website for further changes.

As one of the most complicated stunts they perform, the Cheerleading team stacks on top of one another forming a pyramid with a Westwood ‘W’. “The pyramid was challenging because we had to put a lot of faith in each other to be able to throw Audri Moreno ‘27 high enough so she wouldn't hit Mia Zell ‘28 while flying over,” Cheerleader Jenna Hallidy ‘25 said. Ms. Cat here. I’ve taught journalism and advised the Westwood Student Press since 2013. Before that, I taught graphic design and advised yearbook staffs in Texas and California for 20 years. My undergrad degree is in Plan II Liberal Arts from the University of Texas at Austin, and I have a Master’s of Education in Reading. I was an ASNE (American Society of News Editors) Reynolds High School Journalism Fellow in 2013. I earned my CJE (national certification as a journalism educator) in 2016. I was proud to be honored with the Edith Fox King award for journalism teachers in 2018.
