JV Tennis Wins District

JV+Tennis+Wins+District

The JV tennis team swept McNeil 18-1 in the District Finals on Oct. 30. The team was expected to win, and followed through with an easy victory. Throughout the season, the JV team has beaten varsity teams such as Round Rock, Stony Point, Cedar Ridge, Hendrickson, and Vista Ridge.

“It feels great to be District Champions,” Leonard Wang ‘18 said. “The positive atmosphere the team created helped us to get this victory.”

Every white day, these students wake up bright and early and are on the courts practicing by 7 a.m.

“Our team puts in a lot of effort during practice so we were all very excited and proud to know that our hard work paid off,” Niti Malwade ‘18 said.

After tougher matches against varsity teams, Districts was a breeze and JV proudly took home the medals.

Shefali Arimilli, Managing Editor
Hey! My name is Shefali Arimilli and I am the Managing Editor of the Heritage. This is my third  year on staff and fourth year in journalism (jerds are amazing!). I’ve been on varsity tennis for four years now, and love it. If I’m not studying or playing tennis, I’m hanging out with friends and family, listening to music, dancing, or eating. My favorite movies are Pitch Perfect and The Blind Side. I love traveling and hope to go to Australia and New Zealand this year!
