During the week of Dec. 8-14, Westwood will be hosting the “Warrior Hour of Code”. Recognized worldwide in over 180 countries, this weeklong event aims to expose students to the basics of computer programming. Every day during that week, participants will be notified about a certain tutorial that they can complete along with a form which they must submit. The tutorials are interactive and range in topics from learning how to use JavaScript to learn how to make apps and games which students can complete in their own time.
On Dec. 11, Warrior Tech and Girls Who Code will be co-hosting an event in the Library Great Room from 8:15-9 a.m. Students will be able to be get help from the club members as they complete different tutorials about coding and technology. Students who complete and submit the most tutorials will be eligible to win a prize.
