Austin is known as the live music capital of the world, and while some would argue that good live music is dying out, the pop-rock band All Time Low is a living contradiction.
All Time Low formed in Baltimore in 2003 and have been working on their live shows since then. All that work has definitely paid off. On Wednesday, April 29, All Time Low made a stop on their tour promoting their new album Future Hearts which came out on April 7, in Austin and played for an ACL live taping at the Moody Theater. These tapings only have the best, and All Time Low proved themselves worthy.
When their first album came out in 2005, the band never expected that they would someday be so successful, with a number one album and many sold out shows on their tours, and they definitely didn’t plan to be so good live.
In short, they rocked. Since the venue was small, the show had an intimate feel to it and the band used that to get everyone in the crowd even more pumped up than they were before. The set included the most popular songs from Future Hearts, Don’t Panic which was released in 2013, and even some songs from their older albums. They played for about an hour, and immediately after they left the stage, the crowd was shouting for an encore. After a fifteen minute encore, their set ended.
Overall, All Time Low definitely deserves a 10 out of 10, and if you haven’t heard their music, or seen them live, do it; it’s more than worth it.
