For all who do not yet know, Mother’s Day is coming around the corner! It’s that time of year to show our moms just how much we appreciate them (even though we should really be doing so every day). We all have a lot going on (AP/IB exams, college orientations, SAT prep, etc.), but our mothers take time out of their schedules for us, so we ought to do the same. With that said, here are a few suggestions regarding potential gift ideas for this Sunday.
- Make the thought count. Everyone loves material things, but when it comes down to it, it will be the sentiment behind the present that will last the longest. No matter what you get, be sure to include a card or a message telling your mom just how much you love her.
- Make it unique. A lot of stores will be selling mugs that say “World’s Best Mom!”, etc., but she already knows that. You want your gift to make her feel special, and that might not happen if she sees eight other moms with the same mug. No matter what you get, be sure to make some modifications to make it specific to her.
- No matter what, tell her you love her. At the end of the day, there will be nothing your mom wants more than to spend time with you, so be sure to give her that.
