Warriors fall to Round Rock Dragons 44-3

The Warriors (0-9) were defeated 44-3 by the Round Rock Dragons (7-2) in their last home game of the season.

During the first quarter, the Warriors started off strong, only allowing the Dragons to score two touchdowns, putting the score at 14-0 at the end of the first.

“We played with heart and passion and never gave up. I’m proud to be a part of the Warriors and on the Swarm defense,” Mason Hernandez ‘16 said.

Throughout the second quarter, the Warriors’ flow of the game changed completely. The Warrior defense was unable to hold the offense of the Round Rock Dragons, giving up 23 points, putting the score at 31-0 at the half.

At the beginning of the third quarter, Garrett Aylor ‘18 got a fumble recovery returning the ball into Westwood’s possession. The defense remained strong only allowing Round Rock to score one touchdown, bringing the score to 37-0.

“We played hard and we kept fighting no matter what, that’s why I love my team,” Garrett Aylor ‘18 said.

At the end of the fourth quarter, The Warrior defense started out strong only allowing Round Rock to score once bringing the score to 44-0. The Warriors were quick to put some points on the board with a field goal by Josh Burton ‘16, with less than three minutes on the clock, sealing the final score at 44-3.

The Warriors will be playing Cedar Ridge at Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex on Friday, Nov. 6.
