Swim and Dive Races to Victory in MavWood Invitational

In a thrilling display of endurance, Alice Zhang '28 goes stroke for stroke with her McNeil competitor in the 500 yard freestyle. The two swimmers, mere inches apart, push through as they near the finish line. "“It was so challenging physically and mentally,” Zhang said. “You have to do all the strokes and it’s very tiring but you just have to push through for your teammates.”

Swim and Dive Makes Waves Kicking off the Season

Preparing for their final game of the RRHS tournament on Saturday, Aug. 24, Cole Osborn '25, Ben Meijers '25, and Henry Grundman '25 stretch their legs and listen to their coach's final remarks on their gameplan. "We keep getting better and better." Coach Matthew McBrearty said, "every goal that was scored on us this tournament was just a misstep, when we are consistent it's pretty impossible to score on us." Water Polo Goes Undefeated in RRHS Tournament

Tucking her head tightly against her knees, Jazzlyn Vaughan '26 performs her routine dive. As a sophmore, Vaughan is Coach McBrearty's first State Qualifier in Diving and is looking forward to expanding her success in the next two years. “It’s kinda crazy,” Vaughan said. “I’m just in shock and it just makes me so excited and proud of myself.”
