Freshman Orange Boys’ Basketball Prevails Over Cedar Ridge 60-32
On Friday, Jan. 20, the undefeated in district Freshman Orange boys’ team went up against the undefeated Cedar Ridge Raiders. The Warriors came out on top with a final score of 60-32, making their win against Cedar Ridge their sixth.
“Playing another undefeated team gave us more competition, so we decided to play even harder,” Santi Campos ‘20 said.
Despite Cedar Ridge having more players than the Warriors, the Warriors were still able to work together and pull out a win.
“I thought we played pretty well, we moved the ball around efficiently, hustled back on defense, got some key turnovers,” Marcos Martinez ‘20 said, “and we made our shots and forced them to make bad shots which created easy possession for us.”
Ryan Lindley ‘20, Campos, and Martinez were some of the top scorers of the game, and also exhibited strong defense, causing Cedar Ridge to air ball and miss their shots over and over again.
“I think the team played great team basketball, we worked really well together and we had very good passing,” Lindley said.
The Freshman Orange boys’ team will play their next game on Friday, Jan. 27 at 5:30 p.m..
