Winning in triple overtime, the Warriors defeated the Round Rock Dragons 75-70. The Warriors preformed great teamwork throughout the duration of this game, never giving up hope even with the multiple lead changes.

“The most exciting part of the game for me was going into the triple overtime and winning the game,” Brandon Kothlow ‘18 said. “It felt a little nerve racking when we went into double overtime and then triple overtime, but still a great relief and exciting once we won.”

During the first half, the Warriors gained their lead going from ahead by one at the end of the first quarter to being ahead by two, two pointers.

“I felt like double overtime was the most exciting part of the game because there were multiple lead changes, Mason Flood ‘19 said. “I felt exhilarated yet exhausted because I had played the fourth quarter through the second overtime straight. I feel we played great as a team, we had multiple guys step up to get a great win.”

For the duration of the second half of the game, the Warriors had the stands on their toes. With only nine seconds left of the fourth quarter, the Dragons threw the ball out of bounds, turning the ball over to the Warriors possession. Kothlow threw the ball in and the clock ran out with 63-63 on the clock, the boys were now in overtime.

Towards the end of overtime, neither team has scored, resulting in double overtime. With 3:03 on the clock, Flood shot two free throw shots, making both, placing the Warriors in the lead. With another foul by the Dragons on Kothlow, he shot and made it, placing the Warriors even further in the lead. Shortly after the Dragons shot and tied the score back up at 66-66, entering triple overtime.

During triple overtime, the Warriors shot two twos and a free throw, ending with a score of 75-70, giving the Warriors another district win.
