“I already knew that I was auto-admit, so I wasn’t too surprised that I was accepted (to UT). But what did surprise me, though, was that I was accepted into the Health Science Scholars program. As I began taking a closer look at the activities that I would get to do in this program ‒ research, internships, and healthcare-related volunteering ‒ I realized that I could truly pursue my dreams of becoming a surgeon at UT. Another plus is that I will be sharing a room with one of my closest friends at Westwood ‒ we even have a Pinterest board for our dorm!”
