On Thursday, April 19, Warriors who finished among the top four at Districts competed in the Area Meet.
The following Warriors advanced to the Regional Meet on April 27 and 28:
Jaikem Murphy ‘18- 4th in Shot Put
Liliana Ojeda ‘20- 3rd in Discus
Emily Lu ‘19- 4th in Pole Vault
Jacari Tate ‘19- 4th in 400-meter
Jenny Todd ‘19 – 1st in 800-meter
Allyah Beaty ‘18 – 4th in 300-meter hurdles
“I’m really excited to make it to Regionals because for my three years on Varsity I haven’t gotten past districts. I’m happy that I beat out Round Rock in this meet because they are really good,” Murphy said. “It’s even better for us that six out of our nine competitors advanced.”
