The freshman volleyball team took on the Leander Lions on Tuesday, Sept. 25, winning two sets out of three. The girls came in and went out strong scoring 25-14 in the first set and 25-17 in the last set. During the second set, the team lost 25-22; the girls were up by two points before the Lions caught up and got ahead.

“I think I communicated very well with my team tonight,” Isabel Garcia ‘22 said. “I think I’ve improved a lot when it comes to positions and knowing where I am and where I need to be on the court. I think this was the team’s best game so far because we all communicated very well, we worked together, and we just really looked like a team tonight instead of 12 individual players on one court.”

The team will take on the Round Rock Dragons on Friday, Sept. 28.
