On Tuesday, Oct. 30, the varsity volleyball team competed in the final match of the Lady Warriors’ 2018 season, taking on Cypress Ranch in the first round of playoffs, but ultimately losing 3-1. The ladies fought hard in the first set, but fell to the Mustangs with a score of 26-24. However, the Warriors bounced back with Abby Gregorczyk ‘21 and Zoe Menendez ‘20 contributing to help the girls win the second set with a score of 25-18. Despite this small win, the Warriors couldn’t match up to the Mustangs, and barely fell in the third set with a score of 25-23. Nevertheless, the Warriors wouldn’t go down without a fight, but neither would the Mustangs. Cypress Creek finished the game and won the match with a 25-23 score in the fourth set.

“I think it was a good game to go out on,” Caroline Suter ‘19 said. “Everybody played really well, we were just outplayed a little bit, but I’m happy with it.”

The girls will continue to train in the off-season in anticipation of the 2019 fall season.
