As the ball soars towards him, Nicolas Pesoli ’21 winds up to send the ball across the net. This was one of his two winning matches of the day. “It felt great being out there with the whole team,” Pesoli said. “It didn’t really feel any different after quarantine, it just felt good to get back out there.”

With a strong toss-up, Aashish Dhanani ’22 prepares to serve the ball. After trouncing Round Rock, the varsity team rode their hot streak to a dominant victory over Vandegrift. “The matches went amazing. We got a quick lead in doubles and we were able to finish off the match in the singles round with a final score of 18-1,” Dhanani said.

While mid-air, Kinaa Graham ’23 hits a strong serve in her singles match. The Warriors won all but one match against Vandegrift. “The first couple matches of the season are always mostly about getting back into the team environment and bonding with the new players,” Graham said.
