Week 3 NFL Picks

Last Week: 81.25% Accuracy

Carolina Panthers vs. Houston Texans

Pick: Carolina Panthers

The Panthers proved that their offense is up to the challenge against a worthy opponent, and not just the New York Jets. Add to that,Tyrod Taylor went out with an injury and is extremely unlikely to return. I doubt Davis Mills will be able to lead the Texans to a win over the Carolina Panthers.

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Pick: Kansas City Chiefs

Don’t be fooled by the Chiefs’ record, they are still an extremely strong team that can beat any contender with ease. Facing a Chargers’ team that’s still raw from Justin Herbert’s sloppy Sunday performance should make this victory all the more easy for the Chiefs.

Arizona Cardinals vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

Pick: Arizona Cardinals

The second best team in the league is facing off against the second worst in the NFL. This should be a blowout win for the Cardinals and a further setback for struggling rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

Chicago Bears vs. Cleveland Browns

Pick: Cleveland Browns

Even with the loss of Jarvis Landry in the passing game, Baker has proven himself as a quarterback who can make a lot out of a little. This should prove more than sufficient in beating a developing Justin Fields.

Washington Football Team vs. Buffalo Bills

Pick: Buffalo Bills

The Bills had a bounce back game after decimating Miami on both offense and defense. They should be fine in doing the same against Washington by exposing Taylor Heinicke for who he is and passing all over this defense. Stefon Diggs has yet to have his breakout game, but I believe it is coming for him in week three.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans

Pick: Tennessee Titans

It doesn’t matter if Jacob Eason or Carson Wentz is under center, Derrick Henry should have no problem rumbling over the Colts’ defensive line and Ryan Tannehill will have a strong game and connect well with Julio Jones and A.J. Brown. However, if Jacob Eason does end up starting, I have high hopes for him to excel and prove that he can one day be a starter.

New Orleans Saints vs. New England Patriots

Pick: New England Patriots

As much as football fans might hate to admit it, the Patriots are once again a team on the rise. Mac Jones has done a great job of running an efficient offense and Damien Harris and James White are establishing a viable running game. It remains to be seen how good Jameis really is after two very different performances, but I think while facing off the Patriots he will fall somewhere in the middle.

Atlanta Falcons vs. New York Giants

Pick: Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons’ offense did everything they could to stay in the game against the Bucs.Even though they lost in a fantastic fashion, the Falcons proved that they are more than just a middling offense. They should be able to hang with and beat the New York Giants.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Pick: Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers have enough defensive strength to hold back Joe Burrow, and the offense should be just good enough to keep up with a mediocre Bengals defense. This game will be extremely close, but in the end the Steelers are the more well put together team. However, when this matchup happens later in the season, the Steelers may not be as sure of a selection.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Detroit Lions

Pick: Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens’ ability to work through injuries is extremely impressive, and they should have no problems decimating the Lions in glorious fashion. The Lions do not have enough offensive or defensive talent to be anywhere close to hanging in this game, this will be a blowout win for the Ravens.

New York Jets vs. Denver Broncos

Pick: Denver Broncos

Zach Wilson has had two really bad games in a row, and playing against a revamped Broncos defense is not going to help. Teddy Bridgewater has been more than efficient for the past two weeks, and the Jets defense is going to prove an easy challenge for him and this offense.

Miami Dolphins vs. Las Vegas Raiders

Pick: Las Vegas Raiders

The Dolphins performed far under expectations, even with the loss of former first round pick Tua Tagovailoa under center. The Raiders have proved themselves to be just as strong as the Bills, so if anything this game should prove to be even worse for the Dolphins.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Los Angeles Rams

Pick: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Two years ago the white hot Rams faced the Bucs and lost. Now they will look to rematch, but with their situations swapped. Tampa Bay is a white hot team that not even the Rams will be able to stop.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Minnesota Vikings

Pick: Seattle Seahawks

While the Vikings did prove themselves to be a capable offense, they are no match for the Seahawks and Russell Wilson, especially on defense. It would not be surprising if Minnesota kept this game close, but they are not good enough to build the leverage capable of beating the Seahawks.

Green Bay Packers vs. San Francisco 49ers

Pick: Green Bay Packers

Aaron Rodgers is back, and he is back in his full glory. The 49ers are a very injury riddled team that will not be able to keep up with Aaron Rodgers and his scary offense. There should be no questions asked, this will be a blowout win for the Packers.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys

Pick: Dallas Cowboys

Jalen Hurts was exposed after facing an offense that wasn’t one of the worst in the league. Hurts might struggle against a developing defense and a rising offense.
