On Friday, Jan. 14, the varsity basketball boys triumphed 65-38 in an exciting match against the Vandegrift Vipers, bringing their already impressive record to 22-3.

Despite losing the tip off, the Warriors began the match with many offensive and defensive successes. They displayed noticeable energy and connection, dominating the entirety of the first half, finishing off the first quarter in the lead 18-11, and the first half 30-20.

Westwood carried on this momentum into the second half, resulting in many opportunities at the hoop. In addition to their great number of offensive successes, they did a particularly good job at shutting down all offensive advances made by the Vandegrift as well. The Warriors yet again finished the third quarter in the lead 46-28, and won the game 65-38.

The Varsity boys are scheduled to play their next game vs Hutto Tuesday, Jan. 25.
