Cross Country Competes at Final RRISD Invitational

Continuing a successful season, the cross country team competed in the RRISD Andy Jackson Invitational at Old Settlers Park. Athletes in each team saw success as they competed in their final invitational before the district meet. 

The varsity girls team excelled with a second-place overall ranking. Priya Gangadharan ‘23 claimed third place, with Isabel Sainz ‘24 close behind in ninth place. Adelaide Murphy ‘25 and Theresa Bell ‘26 rounded out the top 15 with their competitive times. 

The varsity boys team finished in third place, just behind Stony Point. With mere seconds separating the top 10 finishers, James Robinson ‘23 claimed ninth place. Teammates Korban Murphy ‘23 and William Murray ‘23 followed in 11th and 12th. 

The team will compete next at the district meet on Thursday, Oct. 13.
