On Tuesday, Nov. 29, the JV boys’ basketball team took on the Anderson Trojans and garnered a win of 57-44.

Starting off strong, Henry Bell ’25 scored the first two points for the Warriors. With energy levels high in the first quarter, Tyson Woods ’25 followed with a free throw and Mike Rao ’24 with a swift layup. Although the Warriors rapidly gained a lead, the Trojans gradually caught up, leaving the teams tied at the end of the first quarter.

As the crowds cheered, Rao victoriously made considerable layups throughout the second quarter, pushing them forward to a half-time score of 26-18. With a new rush of confidence, the Warriors returned with Indy McBrearty ’25 making three-pointers as he received support from his teammates.

Making several free throws and layups, the Warriors saw success by the end of the game.

“Next game, I think we can have better communication on defense,” Rao said, “but I’m excited for future tournaments to play better teams.”

The Warriors will next play at the Pflugerville High School Tournament on Thursday, Dec. 8.
