On Tuesday, Jan. 17, the varsity boys basketball team lost 45-43 to Manor. The game was close in score throughout, but the Warriors couldn’t capitalize at the end.

Throughout the game, the Warriors had several chances to shoot and drive to the basket. However, they missed four free throws in the last quarter, resulting in their loss.

Although the team suffered the loss, they will have a chance to revenge Manor at home later in the season. Every game in the district season counts towards playoff standings, so the next few games are crucial for the team’s overall placement.

Suleyman Shah ‘24 plays the most minutes out of any junior on the team. His contribution to the team has played a huge part to the Warriors’ success.

“I think we played well, but we didn’t finish our chances at the end of the game, we can take a lot of good out of that game,” Shah said. “We played hard and hustled and that’s what I admire most about this ball club.”

The Warriors will play next Friday, Jan. 20, at home against Vandegrift.
