SHF Holds Officer Elections at April Meeting

On Monday, April 3, National French Honor Society (Société Honoraire de Français, or SHF) held their monthly meeting. The club discussed upcoming volunteer opportunities for before holding officer elections for the 2023-2024 school year with candidate speeches.

With an emphasis on giving back to the community, the organization announced numerous volunteering projects for members to make an impact, spreading their love for French. SHF will be working with Inside Books Project to hold a book drive supporting education among those incarcerated in Texas prisons.

“I think all of the candidates were really great options, and I could see all of them running SHF really well,” Current SHF President Nicole Frazier ’23 said. “I’m really excited for this next chapter of SHF because I know it will be really successful.”

Each candidate prepared a slide and brief speech to explain their campaign. Members voted for their desired President, and the rest of the officer positions were allocated based on that.
