On Tuesday, Oct. 17, the JV White volleyball team took on Manor High School in a quick match with the Lady Warriors bringing home another victory in just two sets. The Lady Warrior offense was commanded by Nathalie Kiefer ’26 to start the game, with Kiefer claiming four aces in a row putting them up Early. After a short timeout called by Manor Jazmin Gomez ’26 came out with multiple aces in a row. She not only created a bigger point gap through her serves but also her kills.
“Getting a kill or an ace is one of the best feelings you can have,” Gomez said. “It makes you feel so accomplished by helping your team win the game. It’s also so fun to celebrate after getting an ace.
In part to their offensive prowess, the Lady Warriors closed out the first set with a score of 25-5 with a winning serve made by Simone Riha ’26 to put it away. The Warriors came off the court confident and ready to take the win in the second set.
“Games when we have a big lead like this are my favorite because we can kind of loosen up and have fun when we play,” Riha Said. “I think we played great in the first set and we had a lot of energy but then we kinda went into the second half a little too confident and that was a struggle, but i’m grateful we could come up from that.”
Manor made a short-lived comeback at the beginning of the second set but the Warriors quickly shut it down with Shriya Chakravarthy ’27 killing Manor with her hits in the second half of the set. The Lady Warriors did not let up on the Mustangs finishing the set 25-12 and taking the game in their second straight sweep of their opponents.
“It’s such a rewarding feeling when you get a clean kill,” Chakravarthy said.
The Lady Warriors will return to action Friday, Oct. 20, at Stony Point High School.
