Passing to his teammate, Romir Jain ‘25 plays in one of the first drills of the event. The kids were split into teams, with a Westwood player on each team to help them out.
Narrowly escaping defeat, Kaz Seyhoon ‘26 dodges a younger player in a capture the flag drill. The game was designed to help kids practice mobility and quick changes of direction.
At the Warrior Bowl, Valentin Lobos ‘26 explains a drill to the young soccer players. Throughout the evening, the kids and Westwood players rotated through different games and drills to practice a variety of skills.
Near the end of the evening, Kaz Seyhoon ‘26, Jack Cox ‘26, and Romir Jain ‘25 talk with a young soccer player. The kids were excited to meet and ask questions to the players they admired.
At the start of a rotation, Coach Jacob Beaty explains the rules of a new drill. The goal of the event was for young soccer players to practice new skills and get excited about the opportunity to play soccer for Westwood someday.
Holding a pose, the cheerleaders practice their cheers and support the soccer players as they work through drills. The cheerleaders performed for the crowd later in the evening.
After the event, Jose Fernandez ‘25, Jack Cox ‘26, and Zach Shaddock ‘25 look together at a varsity team poster. Many posters were handed out to kids to be signed by the players.
Walking down the 50-yard line, Noah Revelett ‘26 is announced as part of the varsity team. Cheerleaders lined the path, cheering players on as they made their way down the field.

Surrounded by his teammates, Rodrigo Garcia ‘26 signs a poster for a young fan. After the event, all the kids who attended had the chance to get their favorite players’ autographs.
I am so excited to be a part of press this year and work on the Horizon and Heritage! I have always loved writing, design, and photography! When I’m not busy with band, I enjoy reading, baking, ice skating, and crocheting.
