In their final home game of the season, the JV orange baseball team took on the Cedar Ridge Raiders on April 17. The Warriors worked hard to compete against the Raiders, but ultimately lost 9-7.

The Warriors started out the game strong as they scored the first two runs of the game. Ian Keas ‘19 was able to hit the ball deep into mid field, which allowed him to get to second base. Following this, Nick Shropshire ‘19 hit a triple which got Keas home. After a Raider error, Shropshire also made it home bringing the score to 2-0. However, as the innings progressed the Warriors struggled to get the Raiders out and allowed for a total of nine runs in the following innings. The Warriors persisted and were able to score five more runs before the game was over. Unfortunately, this was not enough to catch up to the Raiders and lost 9-7

“One hit late in the game got us fired up as we started stringing hits together and scored four runs in the process,” Dalton Nandin ‘19 said. “For our next game, we have to have an overall stronger mental approach, start the game right, and keep the same positive and energetic vibe throughout our game.”

The Warriors will travel to Cedar Ridge High School to take on the Raiders again on Friday, April 20 at 7:45 p.m..
