Varsity Softball Dominates Against Mavericks 10-0

On Friday, April 4, the varsity softball team competed against the McNeil Mavericks and won 10-0. This week was also the teacher appreciation game for the Warriors. Every year, the team does something special for their teachers. This year, they gave prizes and set up a bounce house for the teachers’ children.

“It really gives us a good opportunity to show our gratitude for all of our teachers,” Kylie Wardlow ‘23 said. “I’m really glad we are given this opportunity, I feel it really helps the team too.”

The softball team competed in their last game on Friday, April 14, at Vandegrift at won 4-1. The team will continue to prepare for next season during post and pre-season.

As the seniors are walking on the field one last time, the crowd rallies to cheer them on in their final high school game. Bittersweet, exciting, sad, inspiring, I dont really know hot to describe it Abby Winkleman 24 said. Before and after the game, each and every warrior, in the crowd or on the field, was given the chance to celebrate our outgoing senior class one last time.
