Kathy Caraway had their annual Harvest Festival, hosted by their PTA, on Saturday, Nov. 6. Many volunteers who helped out at the event were members of the UNICEF Club, and worked from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for three hours of community service.

The Fall Festival featured many fun activities for kids including a train, an inflatable obstacle course, and a petting zoo with chickens, bunnies, ducklings, and goats. They also served Bush’s Chicken, pizza, and popcorn. The UNICEF volunteers worked at the smaller game booths and at a station where kids could get temporary tattoos, hair extensions, hair dye with spray-on colors, or a combination. Most of the booths had prizes and candy that kids could win.

“It was a really nice experience to be involved and support our community,” UNICEF Club Vice-President Lily Swank ‘19 said. “This was a great opportunity for our club to get out there and help others together.”

The UNICEF Club meets every other Wednesday morning in either the library or Mr. Clark Thompson’s portable 932. Contact President Delaney Brown, Lily Swank, or Mr. Thompson if you’re interested in joining.
