The water polo captains, Ben Meijers '25 and Cole Osborn '25 head into their last season with the boys’ water polo team, excited to see where the roller coaster that is the post-season takes them.

Grasping for the ball, Bella D'Alessandro '25 fights for possession in the Warriors' match against the Westlake Chaparrals on Tuesday, Oct. 15, to regain control of the ball. The warriors main focus against the Chaparrals was their three rules on engagement. "Rule number one any time you even think there's a change of possession we need to get back up on defense." On defense, Elyse Osborn '27, Bella D'Alessandro '25, Katherine Mayer '25, and Claire Braun '25 guard the goal from the Midway Panthers. The girls worked towards strengthening their defense the entire season in preparation for the district tournament. “Our defense is really good, we just need[ed] to keep up with that. Keeping the Dragons at bay, Cole Osborn '25 and a host of Warriors throw up their hands to keep their victory in reach. This was the Warriors' second game against Round Rock, so this meant a lot towards the motivation and weight of the game. "This was a big game for everyone," Ben Meijers said. "We lost to Round Rock last time, so this match is more important than the win."

The Warriors fought hard but ended up losing the final game of the Ridgewood Rumble tournament to Westlake. "Our teams are the opposite and I am really proud we did so well" Captain Ben Meijers '25 said. "We have a lot of team play and a heavy focus on passing while they have a couple really stand out players who carry the game for them."
