Preparing to stop the ball, Rahul Kuthiala '25, Kaz Seyhoon '26, Caleb Fagan '25, and Nico Hamelin '27 form a defensive wall. Multiple penalty kicks were awarded to both teams throughout the game.
Preparing to kick the ball after a penalty, Nate Gunderson '27 sends the Warriors down the field. The penalty kick gave the Warriors the position needed to score.
Lunging for the ball, Audrey Savoie '26 tries to gain possession of the ball. Communication and good touches played a big role in the 5-0 win for Westwood.
Receiving the ball from Defender Jackson Bowen '26, Defender Madeleine Ziegler '27 moves to shoot the ball into the goal. The Warriors utilized powerful offense and defense alike to score six goals while keeping Tiger points to a zero.
AQUATICS
With the cheers of his teammates echoing the aquatic center, Steven Ma '25 propels through the 200 Yard Medley Relay. "We've been leading in the district pretty much this entire season," Ma said. "We've been working hard towards our goal so it wasn't that big of a surprise we won the first Medley Relay."

Nam Anh Truong '26 launches into her backstroke race with determination, her body arching gracefully as she enters the water during the historic meet. "The energy was really exciting," Truong said. "I was really proud of us because, [even though] we have won in previous years, the competition was harder this year so our victory was surprising in a nice way."

Westwood woman’s lacrosse has their senior night and wins the game taking them to their state
Maintaining the ball, Sara Acosta '27 swiftly dodges the attack of her opponent. Acosta is a new player to the team and has maintained her position as an attacker throughout the entire season. "We played well in the whole game.. we fought really hard," Acosta said.
In a struggle for the ball, Truitt Forse '27 (Round Rock High School) prepares to steal the ball from a Vandegrift player behind him. Forse, an attacker, is the lone freshman on the varsity team.

BASEBALL & SOFTBALL
Watching John Ramsey '24 prepare for a pitch, Mike Davis '24 waits on deck for his turn to bat. Because there were two out, Davis left his catchers gear on as an out would have yielded a change of possession, and Davis would head back to the plate.
Varsity Baseball Captures Important Win on Senior Night
Waiting for the throw back Jacob Wright '25 extends his glove toward the pitchers mound. After a walk the runner planted himself on first base where Wright looked to complete a pick-off and get him off the bases.
During the first inning, the infielders gather around Coach Casey Carter for a mound visit. The infield struggled throughout the game, failing to catch the ball several times, which allowed Cedar Ridge to consistently advance bases.
TRACK
Taking off swiftly, the varsity boys cross country team leaves the starting line ready for the 3-mile trek ahead. The Boys had a successful first and second meet and looked to continue with a third.
Storming through the course, the Westwood cross country team competes in their first meet of the season at Vista Ridge. The Warriors looked to start off their season strong with a good performance all around.
Priya Gangadharan ‘23, Will Murray ‘23, and Preston Sanderville ‘23 celebrate their signing, looking ahead to their futures.
Priya Gangadharan ‘23 races in the 800 meter at the Round Rock Event. Gangadharan took first place at the regional meet on Friday, April 29.
