American Idol: Over for Good?

Fox’s “American Idol’s” final farewell caused much speculation when host Ryan Seacrest added a mysterious “for now” at the end of his goodbye.

“And one more time – this is so tough – we say to you from Hollywood, goodnight America,” Seacrest said. “For now.”

Hope sparked immediately in fans, that maybe, after 15 amazing seasons the show really wasn’t ending afterall. Sadly Seacrest took to Twitter the next night to clear up the confusion saying, “I didn’t want to say goodbye last night. Thank you for 15 amazing seasons #IdolFinale.”

But the hope still continued to shine when creator Simon Fuller made similar comments to Billboard, “There will no doubt be another format or refinement or elevation of the format.”

Sharma and Tripathi competed at the University of Kentucky for three days with a total of 11 rounds and only one loss. “It means everything to win the TOC and its a testament to the sacrifices and the time we have put in for the past four years,” Tripathi said.
