Dear the non-existent library WiFi,

I have tried to understand why I can not connect to you when I need you most, but it’s beginning to drive me crazy.

A library should be a place where I can have access to any research material I need, including my own phone and computer, especially since Westwood is BYOD. How am I expected to bring my own electronic device if/when I do, I can’t even use it because of the poor WiFi connection. While across the school there are only specific access points where my devices connect with great service, the library has virtually zero access to WiFi, which completely inhibits me for using my personal computer for homework.

Why is it that the school’s research center doesn’t allow me to research?? Since I can’t use my devices in the library I am forced to venture into the loud, overcrowded, WiFi accessible cafetera to supply my need for internet. It’s becoming quite a problem. Using a laptop next to all your friends lunch can be a very stressful situation. All the food that could somehow end up on my keyboard, or not to mention the fear of a spilled drink, and no I can’t just move to a different table because every single table is full, I promise.

There is so little service in the library I can’t even use my phones data because there is literally nothing to connect to. This lack of WiFi continues to be extremely problematic to the majority of westwood students, as there is no one we can ask to look into it, because our lovely librarians sadly do not control the WiFi.

So please help me, and the rest of the students, to complete our work.

Sincerely,

An Unhappy Student
