Austin Pride Festival Rescheduled

Due to the development of Hurricane Harvey, the Austin Pride Festival and Parade, which was scheduled to happen on Saturday, Aug. 26, has been postponed to a later date.
The festival was supposed to take place outside, but because of the dangerous winds and rain, the organizers decided to postpone the festival for the safety of attendees. Austin is expected to receive close to 12 inches of rain from the storm, with the coast of Texas expected to receive 35 inches. Travis County is under a flood watch until Monday morning, and weather forecasters are urging residents to take safety precautions.
The parade and festival have not been officially rescheduled at this time, but any new updates will be posted on the Austin Pride social media. Check here for further information.
