Michael Rodriguez ’26 outruns the Dragons and takes the ball over 60 yards to make the winning touchdown. Rodriguez caught the ball while it was in the Dragons’ possession and scored off of it.

On Thursday, Sept. 8, the Freshmen football team won 6-0 against the Round Rock Dragons at the Warrior Bowl, leaving the team with a 3-2 record this season.
Throughout the game, both teams shared equal times on offense and defense. The score remained at 0-0 until the last five minutes of the game. Michael Rodriguez ‘26 caught a punt made by the Dragons during their fourth down and ran 90-yards to score a touchdown.
“I just stood there and it came to me,” Rodriguez said. “It was a blur. My body just did it.”
The Warriors will fight for another win against the Dragons Freshman B team during their next game at the Dragon Stadium on Thursday, Sept. 15, at 5:00 P.M.
