Freshmen Football Edges Dragons in Final Minutes

On Thursday, Sept. 8, the  Freshmen football team won 6-0 against the Round Rock Dragons at the Warrior Bowl, leaving the team with a 3-2 record this season.

Throughout the game, both teams shared equal times on offense and defense. The score remained at 0-0 until the last five minutes of the game. Michael Rodriguez ‘26 caught a punt made by the Dragons during their fourth down and ran 90-yards to score a touchdown.

“I just stood there and it came to me,” Rodriguez said. “It was a blur. My body just did it.”

The Warriors will fight for another win against the Dragons Freshman B team during their next game at the Dragon Stadium on Thursday, Sept. 15, at 5:00 P.M.
