Anderson Mill Limited District Hosts First Responders at “Hanging With Heroes” Event

On Saturday, March 25, the Anderson Mill Limited District hosted “Hanging with Heroes” at Harper Park, an event attended by local public safety agencies such as the Austin Police Department (including K-9, SWAT, and motorcycle units), Fire Department, EMS, and more. 

Families met Wonder Woman and Captain America, participated in face painting, and learned about the various activities that local first responders carry out on a daily basis. The public explored the emergency vehicles, tried on safety equipment and gear, and talked with the various public safety figures about proceedings. Attendees met a friendly K-9 and learned all about the duties and responsibilities of the APD K-9 unit while others indulged in Kona Ice or played in a bouncy house.
